Treebal is a secure and ethical corporate instant messaging solution.
Context
The client encountered an issue with a scoring system that was implemented since the very first start of the software. Users would deliberaly overuse the messaging feature in order to increase their score, thus behaving in a way that was contrary to the values Treebal wanted to convey: eco-responsibility, being conscious of one’s use of data, etc.
I led a UX Research focused on addressing the counterproductive scoring system that incentivized misuse of the messaging feature. My approach involved a comprehensive scope definition of client needs and a gamification benchmark analysis, including platforms like Discord, Duolingo, and the board game 'The Gang.' This research culminated in the proposal and presentation of a redesigned app screen flow.
